IGF Leads Genomics Training at International Summer Course on Tropical Biodiversity 2026

IGF served as the genomics training partner for the 2026 International Summer Course on Tropical Biodiversity and Sustainable Development, guiding 57 students and academics from UTS, ANU, and UGM through a full hands-on sequencing workflow: from an introductory bioinformatics session, through lab orientation and DNA extraction, to a sequencing library preparation demo. The genomics track complemented the course's broader program of drone-based geospatial mapping, coastal field sampling, and iNaturalist citizen-science data collection.
IGF and RSA UGM Explore Clinical Genomics Partnership

IGF and RSA UGM's Clinical Research Unit are exploring a partnership to bring NGS-based clinical genomics testing: from undiagnosed disease diagnostics to pharmacogenomics and precision oncology, to RSA UGM's research ecosystem.

IGF and Oxford Nanopore Technologies opened the 9th ICBS 2025 pre-conference series with a hands-on metagenomic library preparation workshop, training around 25 researchers on long-read sequencing from DNA extraction through sample prep.

IGF joined a Kemenkes RI seminar on Oxford Nanopore adaptive sampling for precision medicine, exploring pharmacogenomics and hereditary cancer applications while discussing potential collaboration to bring PromethION 24 sequencing capacity to national genomic medicine efforts.
We are adding PacBio's cutting-edge Revio™ long-read sequencing system to our suite of tools, designed to provide an astounding 15 times more HiFi data, which will redefine our capabilities in sequencing and genome analysis.
JMU 2025 was held and attended by thousands of enthusiastic participants, who learned about the latest genomics research in Indonesia. Bringing together various elements from industry, government, and the medical field, this event, initiated by the IGF, successfully brought together experts in their fields to collaboratively build a genomics ecosystem in Indonesia.
IGF's Back to Basic hands-on workshops trained participants across three sessions in command-line fundamentals, NGS data processing with Oxford Nanopore tools, and scientific data visualization, culminating in a mini project building a personal academic website.
IGF and Yayasan Satriabudi Dharma Setia held an online socialization session for the Revio Call program, drawing over 160 participants to learn about PacBio Revio's HiFi long-read technology and the free sequencing access application process.
Revio Call Program Launches for Indonesian Genomics Research

Faculty of Biology UGM and Yayasan Satriabudi Dharma Setia finalized the Revio Call program at a coordination meeting, opening 196 PacBio Revio flow cells for free genome sequencing submissions to accelerate a comprehensive Indonesian genomic database.
IGF, YSDS, and Panin Bank ran a four-day Next Generation Transcriptomics training on RNA and cDNA sequencing with Oxford Nanopore, drawing grantee researchers from institutions across Indonesia and marking the official opening of IGF's transcriptomics sequencing service and RNA sample intake.

Integrated Genome Factory (IGF) launches its first Mini Workshop Series, offering hands-on bioinformatics training for students and young researchers — from command line basics to NGS data analysis and Python/R visualization. Held at Faculty of Biology UGM, April–May 2025.

IGF MasterClass: eDNA Metabarcoding for Universitas Sriwijaya

IGF's MasterClass trained researchers from Universitas Sriwijaya through a three-day eDNA metabarcoding workflow, from field sampling and library preparation to Nanopore-based data interpretation, to support biodiversity monitoring research in Indonesia.
At Faculty of Biology UGM's Open Senate Meeting, IGF was highlighted as an integrated DNA/RNA sequencing service unit backed by Panin Bank and Yayasan Satriabudi Dharma Setia, built around Oxford Nanopore long-read sequencing.
Faculty of Biology UGM officially launched the Integrated Genome Factory during its 69th Dies Natalis, inaugurated by the UGM Rector and built around the ONT PromethION 24 with 720 Gb/day capacity and a quad-A100 data acquisition unit.
